Therapists

Jamie Sonego

Jamie’s desire to pursue physiotherapy as a career stemmed from her lifetime involvement in competitive sports. She keeps active with squash, soccer and running.  Jamie is also a fitness instructor and helps people move toward their fitness goals and potential. Over the years Jamie has sustained several sporting injuries requiring the expertise of a physiotherapist and understands the importance of rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Jamie completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Upon graduating, Jamie worked in private practice in Edmonton and moved to Vancouver nearly ten years ago to continue practicing and to see what the West coast had to offer!  She has completed several post graduate courses including her Medical Acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI) as well as functional dry needling and IMS. She enjoys treating people of all ages, including children.

"At first I was a little hesitant to get into physio as I always believed things would heal on their own. But a few months ago myself and my fiancé decided to give it a try and we sure are glad we did.

Jamie Sonego has been awesome in making us feel comfortable and helping each of us out with our own issues in our day to day tasks. She has greatly helped us increase our mobility and flexibility to the point where we have never felt as great as we do right now! I wish we would’ve came a lot sooner!" ---S.S.
